KEEP TEACHING TOGETHER
A new shared canvas after Jamboard.
Google ended the Jamboard application on December 31, 2024. If you are rebuilding your teaching workflow, start with the ways you and your students actually used the board.
Rebuild the activity, not just the layout
Choose one familiar lesson: a worked example, a diagram to label or a shared worksheet. Create a Chalkroom board and give learners the access they need for that activity.
Use material you already saved
If you previously exported lesson materials as PDFs or images, use those files with Chalkroom’s import features on a supported plan. Chalkroom does not retrieve inaccessible Jamboard files or directly import the native Jam format.
Check the guest experience first
Open a share link on a second device before class. Check the name prompt, view or edit permission and how handwriting feels on your students’ devices. Use LMS live sessions if you also want video and class management.
