TEACHING GUIDE · 5 MIN READ
Your next live class, with fewer loose ends.
A live class works best when students know where to join, what to do and how to ask for help. Use this checklist before your next session.
Before students join
Check your microphone, camera and connection. Prepare the class and board, confirm session limits on your plan and open the student view on another device. Close any personal material you do not want visible during screen sharing.
In the first few minutes
Explain the objective in one sentence. Show students where chat is, how to ask a question and when they will have permission to draw. Ask one simple check-in question so everyone practises participating early.
During the explanation
Alternate a short demonstration with student work. Use the whiteboard to make thinking visible and chat for brief questions. Pause after a new idea and ask a learner to explain it in their own words.
After the call
Set a short assignment or quiz that checks the lesson objective. Review the submissions before planning the next class. Share a board or exported notes with the appropriate permissions and avoid exposing student information in public links.
